A Garden Full Of Cultural Delights 2015
- Created: 18 March 2016
The beautiful St Leonards Gardens were again ‘Full of Cultural Delight’ as this buzzing yet intimate interfaith, intercultural festival reached its 6th sunny success, thanks to all participating community and faith groups and our wonderful performers, caterers and volunteer helpers.
It is delightful to see young and old and a variety of faiths and ethnicities enjoying each other’s company and cultural riches in a way that encourages friendship and mutual respect.
Acromax gymnasts, Gizmo Kids, Chinese and Indian dancers and Michelle Foo’s Malaysian song; singing duos Mermaid and the Fish, Maria Gracia and Chris, Midnight Cats and Paul Crimin all graced the stage with a rich variety of spectacle, beauty, joy and fun. Mayor and Councilors, numerous local charities and community groups, Moslems, Baha’is, Anglicans and Quakers engaged with the community, St Leonards Parish Church and Play Development entertained the children and we were all fed falafels and Indian food, ice-cream and cake by local caterers. Many thanks to our generous funders: Hastings Borough Council, Magdalen and Lasher Charity, Hastings Lions and Hastings Friendship Group for their support. .
Looking forward to Garden Delights in 2016 – have a great summer!!
